What is Somatic Therapy?

 

Our bodies carry the imprints of our experiences within our nervous system, muscles, and tissues. Somatic therapy offers a gentle, powerful approach to uncover and release stored emotions and physical tension in the body, allowing us to feel more alive and free. 

By slowing way down, and becoming present, we'll explore how our body communicates what words sometimes cannot. Together, we’ll deepen self-awareness and build the capacity to stay with what arises, so that healing can unfold through embodied connection.

We will gently tend to the emotional, energetic, and physical roots of pain and trauma, through body attunement, mindfulness, and movement-based practices.

Somatic therapy can be helpful for addressing PTSD, anxiety, stress, physical tension, grief, depression, self-esteem, dissociation, auto-immune disorders, and more.
